"Each of the projects realized with 'Annlee' is a "chapter in the history of a sign", and has a 'life' in the context of the individual artists' activities and within the joint project. The 'life-prolonging' measures taken by the »No Ghost Just a Shell« project for a short-lived, virtual and commercial being actually raise some 'melancholy' humanitarian questions, but also undermine economic mechanisms by allowing a product that is otherwise viable only in a commercial context to be used free of charge; the artists' autonomous production conditions are another factor."

I think it's still there at Tate Modern but there's this thing called "No Ghost Just A Shell", which is about this I guess: [link]

I thought it was pretty poignant.

:iconbrumagris: - my new favourite ever guy
:iconlaemeur: - best draughtsman on dA?
[link] gonna link this too

(Guys don't be ascared, I want to feature you)

From what I remember being told I think I am supposed to "feature" by way of exploring their gallery and picking out two or three things I guess that I particularly like, anyone who comments here. I agree that it sounds nice and I probably need more friends so here is me giving it a spin. I don't know whether he/she meant it (some people do this crazy thing of updating with basically nonsensical things, like one long account-wide in-joke, that I don't understand, but I think that's probably because most of their pals reside mostly IRL. If it's otherwise then it's very interesting to me. Anyway the first person is ~penguinguy.

:iconpenguinguy: I like this [link] a lot because it reminds me of Super Mega Comics (which you can search for on goggle), or that it was very easy for me to get the joke. I like the big sword, too. I'll feature this [link] because it seems pretty creative, it might not all be precisely my kind of humour though (I reckon I still "get it"). I mean I also like this thing that I've seen recently of pasting one photographic arm onto a rough drawing of a person. This [link] seems coherent to me so I guess I'd like to encourage penguinguy to be more coherent in general... for me.

I'll feature Serge again if he comments. I'll get rid of this little line too if I think he'd like that.

:iconsergiocornaga: Here we go! [link] This went to make a great game. [link] This is awesome. [link] This was very brave and/or successful. MORE DETAIL LATER? I'm falling alseep!

:iconfunkinis: [link] Whimsical but luckily lovely / very pleasant, to look at. [link] Wonderfully crisp (it had maybe ought to be but it's hard for me to think of a colour sheme). [link] Again, very clean and clear. Looks like one of those holiday resort wall paints. [link] I too wish I was this Guybrush-alike Lucas-impersonator 3D sprite man. [link] [link] These two ought to be scanned because they remind me of the squid guy in quality.

:iconuglies: First of all I very much like the avatar and the name, esp. in combination. It's a good one. So, [link] this one for being a good idea (and minimalistically but convincingly physical besides (something I admire)), [link] this one for being sort of quite pertinent and real (full-view why don't you), [link] this one for being absolutely lovely, [link] this one for being true, [link] this one for being boiga, [link] this one for being sad, and [link] this one for being wacked out. I like this style, I think (my favourite of these might really, secretly be the "bff" one).
